With 15 years experience in publishing - working with writers, directors, performers and producers - you could say that coaching creatives was were I learned mindfulness. I didn't know it was called that at the time. Creatives are always mindful, always in the moment, it is what allows them to create art.
But being in the moment can have its challenges.
When it's going well you feel on top of the world. But in the difficult moments, no matter how many hits you've had, or how successful you've been, it feels like you'll never be able to re-find your flow, hit you next deadline, or be able to make your work understood in the world.
This is where coaching can come in.
Few artists nowadays really need a full time agent. As an ex-agent myself it hurts me to see the middle people taking more and more of a cut for less and less value added.
Artists have always been entrepreneurial, and never more so than today. You need a team that are behind YOU, not wanting a piece of you and competing with each other.
I can provide an element of that team. Either as a one off perspective at a crucial time, or as an ongoing support and cheerleader over months or years.
