Maintaining trust in changing times.
Focused, Holistic and Team Based Support for increasing Wellbeing
Trust is built on shared interest, success is the cultivation of trust.
Of course, all corporate companies began with one, or two, very brilliant entrepreneurs. But today corporates face new challenges - stability, integrity and growth over time all necessitate that certain structures be put in place - but, as any architect knows, there is a trade off to be made between structure and flexibility.
We are currently living through a time of significant global flux; increased interconnectivity gives us new opportunities and movements such as #metoo and #blacklivesmatter, at the same time as the challenges of SARS and COVID-19. These are sharp and sudden impacts in our global business and social cultures, and the more you have built, the more successful you have been, the more structure and integrity a company has, the more difficult the conversations that will have to begin to happen at the heart of it.
If you are one of the people responsible for maintaining trust, both internally and externally, this is a challenging time.
I can offer three forms of support as you develop your strategies for handling these conversations:
- Focused -addressing the task directly and providing support. This can take the form of specific coaching and support for those asking (and answering) the most difficult questions. Importantly this space is free from judgement of any kind and is entirely confidential even from others in the company or independent bodies.
- Holistic - creating regular wellbeing support to minimise opposition to change. Team wellbeing programs can move everyone from an oppositional mindset to an entrepreneurial mindset, increasing commitment and productivity even in, and sometimes because of, the most challenging of times.
- Team Based - facilitating the difficult conversations themselves; one to one, team wide, or company wide.
